There is something about seeing the city you live in through the eyes of a familiar visitor. I was nodding in approval at your comment about dipping the kaya toast in runny egg. But it was also nice to be reminded to be grateful for all the greenery that surrounds me :)
I have a good (or bad) habit of looking at most cities where I have any association with rose-tinted glasses. If I've spent more than 10 days in a city, I tend to start liking things about it. I do not understand people who hate the place they live in or just tolerate it, at all.
